Welcome to Brasserie Basiliek
We cook with fresh ingredients, pour our craft beer with care and serve wine we like to drink ourselves. Come in, take a seat and take your time.
Start with an aperitif at the bar or grab a table by the window and watch the Jodenstraat go by. Inside it’s snug, with lots of wood, warm light and a big mural of the basilica.

Our cooks start every morning with fresh ingredients. We make our own soups and sauces, and the menu changes with the seasons.

A quick lunch at midday, a three-course dinner on Saturday night or just something tasty with a drink. You’re welcome for all of it.

At the bar we pour craft beer on tap and wine by the glass. Pull up a stool any time, no need to eat.

A true Venlo favourite
On the Jodenstraat, one of the nicest little streets in the heart of ’t stedje van lol en plezeer (local dialect for “the town of fun and pleasure”), you’ll find Brasserie Basiliek. Owner Chantal van Hoorn opened her doors here on 1 July 2019. Chantal is a true Venloos maedje, a Venlo girl through and through, and you notice it the moment you walk in: from the warm welcome to the friendly goodbye.
Since then Basiliek has become a regular haunt. For a coffee on Saturday morning, lunch with colleagues, dinner for two or a party that goes on until closing time.
“I want people to feel at home here. That’s why I’m almost always here myself,” says Chantal.

What are the opening hours of Brasserie Basiliek?
We’re open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 11:30pm. The kitchen is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am to 9pm and on Sunday until 8pm. Lunch is served until 4pm.
