Lunch without the fuss
Brasserie Basiliek has been on the Jodenstraat since 2019, right in the heart of town. A quick bite between meetings, lunch with colleagues or a long, lazy lunch after shopping. It all works here, and there’s no need to dress up.
Uitsmijter, salad or a hot lunch
Our lunch menu has something for everyone. Think a proper Dutch uitsmijter (fried eggs on bread) or the 12-uurtje, our lunch plate with soup, a croquette and a fried egg. Fancy something lighter? Go for a main-course salad like the Caesar salad or the salad with prawns and lobster mayonnaise. Hungrier? The chicken thigh satay, the pasta with king prawns or the tournedos with pepper sauce are good picks.
Soup, sandwiches and club sandwiches
Soups come with bread and butter. Choose from French onion soup au gratin, spicy chicken and lime soup or lobster soup with prawn. For a sandwich, try the Sandwich Basiliek with chicken and mushrooms, or a club sandwich with halloumi, chicken or carpaccio with truffle mayo.
With children or international guests
Children are welcome too: there are poffertjes (little Dutch pancakes) and a mini sparerib on the menu for them. The lunch menu comes in Dutch, German and English, so guests from Germany and further afield know exactly what they’re ordering.
